You workout hard to increase the shape and composition of your body. You are carefully crafting the look of your distinct muscle groups and you want the mazimum benefit from your workout regime.
The question is: should you use nitric oxide supplements and what will they do?
Firstly, nitric oxide is a naturally occuring chemical used in your body to manage the volume of blood sent to the intenal organs and muscles. Doesn’t sound like much, I know, but this molecule is responsible for allowing us to workout and increase muscle size.
So, when we exercise, a signal is sent to release more nitric oxide which causes the blood vessels to expand, which in turn allows greater oxygenation of the muscle due to increased blood flow.
This ability to control the amount of blood glowing in the body means that the artificial increase or enhancement of nitric oxide is used in many medical solutions with the primary one being heart related problems where Nitroglcerene is used becuase it contains this molecule.
For the bodybuilder, this means that taking nitric oxide in supplement form has the effect of increasing the flow of oxygenated blood that is sent to the muscles. This, in turn, allows the muscles to work more effectively and get bigger – which is, after all, what we are trying to achieve.
So, is it safe to use these supplements?
The answer , in short, is yes, it is safe. The main reported side effects of using nitric oxide supplements are an occaisonal headache. There have been a small number of reports of other side effect, such as abdominal pain and skin redness, but these are few and far between.
Notric oxide is used by thousands of bodybuilders to enhance their workout regime where it lets them lift longer and harder and recover faster. The proof that they work is definately out there.
